We are currently looking to recruit an A2R Group Accounting Manager . The role is brand new and will support Group Financial Processes. A2R focus is extending to manage all aspect of financial data including actuals, forecast and budget and supporting both group and local country requirements. The role will also include an element of line management of junior colleagues. The Group Reporting team will play a critical role to ensure all annual financial statements and month end reports are populated accurately and completed according to standards and procedures.  In this role you will be part of the A2R Finance and will report to the A2R Senior Manager in Gdańsk.

 

Account to Report Finance  is responsible for overall accounting process that involves collecting, processing and presenting financial information. It governs general accounting and closing activities, fixed assets and leasing management, intercompany , indirect taxes and internal/external reporting.

 

About the job:

Some of your key responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Managing team of 6+ Finance Specialists
  • Monthly consolidation under IFRS
  • Ownership of the reporting timetable and ensuring alignment across all relevant teams
  • Ensure group reporting policies and procedures are adequately and consistently applied
  • Management and maintenance of consolidation tool BFC
  • Liaise with external auditors to ensure successful completion of interim and year end audits
  • Work closely with Risk , Controls and Compliance  colleagues to understand  broader risk disclosures
  • Challenge the status quo with focus on continuous performance improvement
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters
  • Owning or taking a significant role in ad-hoc pieces of work or projects as directed, including managing and directing junior staff as appropriate
  • Support A2R E2E processes and have ownership of the subprocesses
  • Drive further integration of International A2R

Who are you?

The successful candidate will have:

  • University degree in finance/accounting or similar and good understanding of existing IFRS requirements, and the ability to analyse and interpret other reporting frameworks
  • ACCA/CIMA or similar accounting certificates achieved or in progress is an advantage 
  • Leadership experience
  • 3+ years of experience within the accounting/financial reporting
  • Ability to investigate and understand changing accounting requirements and ability to understand its impact on the business, systems, processes and reporting
  • Ability to question status quo;  thinking outside the current framework in order to improve productivity, efficiency and robust controls around external group financial reporting processes
  • Ability to influence peers and senior management and build strong relationship within the team and outside
  • Good coaching skills and ability to lead by example
